Liberation War Museum assigns jury board to award two reporters for the best coverage of Liberation War issues
The Liberation War Museum has instituted Journalist Bazlur Rahman Memorial Award, sponsored by the family and friends of the renowned journalist.
Two reporters — one from the print media and another from the electronic media — will be awarded for the best reporting on issues relating to the War of Liberation.
The Liberation War Museum has also formed a jury board to select the winners, says a press release.
The jury board has invited investigative reports and features on the contribution of freedom fighters and common people to the Liberation War, published in the newspaper or aired on TV channels in 2008.
The reports and features should reach the Liberation War Museum office at 5 Segun Bagicha, Dhaka-1000, by January 31, 2009.
Besides, the museum will also collect such reports and features published in the newspapers across the country for the purpose of selection.
The awards will be given to the winners in March.
