Zurich, Switzerland: Tibet is the winner of this year’s Media Tenor Special Award for Agenda Setting. After analysing all news reports in 58 American, European, MiddleEeast and African TV news channels, Tibet managed to get their message across by surfing on the Olympic Games Media Agenda. “The Dalai Lama and the people of Tibet were able to break through the awareness threshold of almost all tv-news,” explains Roland Schatz, President of Media Tenor International.
The award, along with details of the report, will be presented on September 3 at the opening of the 9th International Agenda Setting Conference in Zurich, Switzerland.
