As a Citizen journalist I started in the mid eighties working for a small paper. We had a hand in breaking S&L and digging the dirt in Denver. We went on to cover the Native American community which lead to five years covering the massive heart break and corruption in Social Services which lead to retaliation. The newspaper died with it’s owner and we The Rocky Mountain Media Collective went to IndyMedia. All the time I was doing SS and court reporting I learned of the invasion of illegal immagrants and I started writing about that. My wife was hit and runned by an illegal and my car was rammed and we were threatened by an armed coyote.
Reported on Pastor Haggard the anti gay preacher who was paying for gay sex in Colorado Springs for Indy and my car and home were shot up by person’s unknown. Later I was shot with a pellet gun.
Peoples stories without reward. Never a penny for expenses. But these were all unreported stories. I would like to do more on Immigrants as I grew up in Oaxaca Mexico and see both sides.
The illegals are used to break wages and then discarded like trash. The Colorado Press Does not want to hear that story. They don’t want hear how the poor are rounded up at gun point and shipped North to slave, while their homes in Oaxaca are sold to outsiders as condos.
America is unready for the truth, yet we are here reorting it as we see it.
With millions of media dollars being spent on the Denver Convention the only jobs open to us are security.
