At 2 PM today, rap star Nas will deliver a petition — organized by Color of Change and Move On.org and signed by 600,000 people — to Fox News’s Manhattan headquarters, calling on the network to “stop its racist smears against the Obamas and other Black Americans.” Nas also takes the network to task in a new song, “Sly Fox,” which includes the lyrics, “I pledge allegiance to the fair and balanced truth/Not the biased truth/Not the liar’s truth/But the highest truth.” Last year, Brave New Films released a video exposing Fox’s attacks on black America. After the Fox. They need people to talk back to them, and expose them for who they are.
I’m sorry, this is the most ridiculous piece of trash I’ve seen. If you don’t think Obama should be president, it’s because you’re racist? How about he shouldn’t be president because he’s an arrogant elitist who has no ties to blacks with the historical perspective of slavery. He was raised in a well-to-do family, went to the best private schools, is aligned with native Africans who probably sold our brethren into slavery, and looks down at the American black community. If FOX is attacking African-Americans because of what you’ve shown, then you better check out CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, and all the others as well.
Mr. ELewis, after the incredibly inept extremist leadership that has in effect taken over the “conservative movement” it is shameful that people like you use a candidate’s race to define him. Obama happens to be an intelligent, well spoken, charismatic politician. He is the Democratic Party’s candidate IN SPITE of his racial background. I ask you, are you beginning to realize how foolish and shallow you reveal yourself? Or will you begin to realize it slowly as the days go by?
