After all, they have been amplifying rumors, vile crap, and lies for two decades (at least) without bothering to check - - anything - - and that is especially true of the Wash Post and the N Y Times (to a lesser extent), let alone the rest of the media - - print, broadcast, and (God knows !) the Internet.. If the MSM do really eschew gutter "journalism" for an extended period, I will cheer, but I will still suspect that the decision to clean up their act may be a corportae one (cleaned-up news, more readers, higher sales figures) than a journalistic one.
