As a media activist I haves supported the new Freep and attempted to infulance Colorado
Politicos to pay attention to the rights they so liberally throw away. In return there comes lots of very good rhetoric and some use practical stuff but for the reporter on the ground there is little more than strokes.
We are fighting billions of doallar issues with a bake sale budget which in a corperate state leads to losing our free ground step by step rather than in one big boomer rush to slavery.
One of the bigest problems has been the neo liberal idea that a free press is free to the owners of the press.
Most of the liberal press reads like it is edited term papers or articales for Harpers/the Nation. I dod not wish to read like the castrated John Nichols or worse Alex Cockburn. There appears to be no galling points and damned little humor. Of rouse these esteemed publications would avoid an Ed Abby for neatly and pleasantly edited leftoid drivel.
Fight means literary eye gouging and kendo strikes it means winning not being prim school marms protesting a bloody war out side a public building on a warm Saturday.
