One more reason to keep the Internet free! It was created for the people and should remain that way.
Being of Egyptian dessent through my dear mother, I feel for these very courageous people and know that they are true heros!
I fully support them

It would appear that freedom is not just a Western idea but a goal for all and because we are (somewhat) privileged it does not mean that we are free to speak out all the time.
What is to be done: more organization, more support for root groups in our home countries, awareness of others.
Egypt receives a great deal of tribute yearly from the United States as do the other torture states Israel in particular. Ought that money be tied to human decency, not a novel idea.
Ought we to export command and control power over the Internet to those states which degrade the individual for wanting freedom? Ought we allow the blanket of national security to thrown over our rights? These are questions no longer safe to ask in day light. How long before the darkness we start there comes here?
