I am Reading the revised, (up-dated), book, "Lies My Teacher Told Me", by James W. Loewen. I'm convinced that the failure of the print media, the illusion of Journalism in the Television industry, and the divisiveness of political campaigns are largly the result of the text books used to educate our students. Without a good basic understanding of civics and history the military/industrial/corporat media complex complex will continue our nations decline to the realm of a third or fourth world nation.

I would love to challenge the author of this paper simply to increase the knowledge base.
I and many other people in Britain in the sixties ran into AIDS and stories were D noticed.
Most of the relevant communications theory I heard came from George Mills or Csikszentmiholyi or Paul Goodman or Chester Anderson of the Communications Corp.
The Internet has freed and at the same time trivialized information gathering and processing. This forum is not quite suited discourse (another problem with Internet communications.)It is a good place to start.
