Roy,

The only mention of Sean Penn is in regards to the DVD, which was a simple description; and has little to do with the bulk of the article. I guess it could have been left out, but that's no honest reporting is it? The rest of your comments were just meaningless conjecture. Sorry, but the anti-war movement is growing steadily and the most polls show a negligible difference in war support over the past 6 months-- no matter what the question.

Reporters need all the help they can get. The press in general being the slaves to the the owners are for the most part accomplices to war crimes as well as cheer leaders for torturers.
Many have inbedded themselves with the war machine glorifying high tech death and not understanding why and how we got to Iraq. I remember being shouted down by radio personality when corruption on the part of Viceroy Bremmer was mentioned. Much less mention that the war was about oil.
Now the same personality touts torture as the route to peace.
What is strange is that the so-called good guys lie about the war while the bad guys don't lie.

Do you really think it helps your case to reference an idiot like Sean Penn. Actors are some of the most screwed up people around. Most of them make wild comments just to get publicity. Such a large percentage of actors have rotten personal lives with wholesale divorce and drug problems that not many real people take them seriously. When Sean Penn went to Iraq to be a human shield, I heard a lot of people say they wouldn't mind if he was collateral damage. As far as starting an anti-war movement, they have waited too long. If you haven't seen the current number, public support for the war in Iraq is steadily growing sinced the surge started working. It would be a much higher goal for the media to just report the news and quit trying to make it.
