One measure of interest in reports that New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has been linked to a prostitution ring is the extent to which people are searching for information on the Internet. Late this afternoon, Google’s Trends page–which “highlights searches that have sudden surges in popularity,” according to Google–was dominated by queries related to Gov. Spitzer and the prostitution story. Such searches accounted for nine of the top 10 “hot trend” words and phrases, as the screenshot below indicates.

Even weirder are Spitzer’s NY Post horoscopes, for the last few days, especially March 10th’s. Heez a Gemini (June 10th, 1959).
Strong respected Jewish fellow with a strong desire to become a future President of this country has gone astray. Unfortunately, he had an individual convicted and sentenced for the same violation that Spitzer has committed. I also believe there is more to this story than what has come out so far. His wife appearing on stage with Spitzer looked so very sad, and can one imagine his three teenage daughters!
What has become of Spitzer? Mr. Anti-corruption now turned Mr. Corruption. Now I understand, running a prostitution ring could not have been part of his anti-corruption crusade. May be he thought that it was better for a man to corrupt with his dick than with his hand.
