And what about the Senate (down) vote McCain made just hours before the story broke -- in line with the president -- that condones various forms of torture.

Look it up on his voting record!

The anti-torture candidate...

It seems the story is very weak ... and why did they hold this story AFTER the NY Times endorsed him and he has won the nomination?

They did not report (as far as I know) on the story about Obama and drug use in Minnesota while having sex in a limo. Now I don't believe the story and it seems as factual as the McCain story.

It sure took Clinton's problems with her campaign off the front page.

We should all be more concerned with former senator Phil Gramm, now Deputy Director of UBS as McCain's economic advisor. Gramm as senator, and his wife as chair of the Commodities Futures Commission made the Enron scandal possible.Gramm also said:" I have the most reliable friend you can have in American politics, and that is ready money."

New Yourk Times: Thank you! - Thank you for printing such a sad story about my local US Senator McCain, R-AZ and US presidential candidate. Now I understand why he had no time to respond to any of my concerns and complaints regarding issues of government and public policy. I am a retired federal law enforcement employee who reported in my capacity as a co-publisher of NarcoNews.com regarding mismanagement and corruption at the U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement, an agency of the Department of Homeland Security. Now I understand, why he has been busy "taking care" of her personal and intimate lobbyist and now I understand why we cannot get rid of all of the corruption and favoritism within our US Congress. It doesn't matter why the New York hold on McCain's extramarital affair. My question to my fellow Americans: do we want another Bill Clinton in the White House? Do we want another George W. Bush as president of this great nation of ours that lying is a matter of "fact-of-life" - NYC, you don't owe anybody an explanation or an apology, you exposed one more lier. Now, if an American vote for McCain for president, he/she is condoning that lying and carrying on an extramarital affair while in office is OK. I am voting for Obama.
