This is the best documentary on Chomsky, imho. It’s a bit long — 4 hours — but still the best one.
The correctly stated length of the film is 2 hours and 47 minutes.
“Manufacturing Consent” weaves into a well-sustained narrative archival news reel footage and public presentations and interviews given by Chomsky. It features various viewpoints from “insiders,” such as Chomsky’s colleagues and informed admirers, and from media representatives or citizens of the world who express disagreements with him.
I would particularly recommend the film to American citizens, people concerned about the meaning and importance of the idea of democracy, media and power relations, issues of war and peace, activism, and the survival of the human race.
