					<description>Telecommunications companies should have nothing to fear, if the 'assistance' they gave the Administration actually helped US citizens safety- and they acted according to the law.   

However for them to lobby for immunity from their past deeds AND not be willing to reveal what they did........come on, that's ridiculous!   Are we to trust for profit companies to put the interests of the public good first, especially when they are making campaign huge donations, apparently expecting nothing in return but 'patriotism'?    

What in the world is a representative government for anyway, if it gives blanket immunity to the private sector.   This is not Blackwater, Inc.   I don't think there is any grade schooler who wouldn't agree.</description>
