Mr. Harrington,
can you categorically say without a single iota of doubt that Valerie Plame Wilson did not face danger fater being outed? Or any of her colleagues? I think that if it were your wife or your daughter that your inability to assess danger would change dramatically.
The point is, I wouldn’t want the name of a janitor who worked at the CIA to be leaked to the press…and I’m certain that you and Mr. Novak understand the full implications of the leak but prefer to sound tough and unfazed by the danger the woman was placed in.
It would be so refreshing to see Americans pretend that we were all on the same team again rather than being ripped about apart petty party alliances. How sad we have become, a nation that was founded on truth and freedom. No wonder that we have become an international joke!

Wilson’s old lady was never a deep cover agent. She’s not a “Ranch” grad. By the time her name popped up she had been at Langley for nearly six years.
Their neighbors and social circle knew she worked for the agency. She and Joe were never in any danger other living in the DC area.

Wilson is right. I had a friend who was outted and he was killed in a drive by. A humanist killed by someone’s ego. Guys like Novak get a warm place in hell. Information can be a bio-hazard and responsible reporters know that.
