We're not all brain dead, in spite of popular mythology. As a matter of fact, you'll find more of us being politically progressive than any other age group (except, perhaps college-age-- when they get off their beer-engorged butts). Don't be agist. We all need to fight the good fight together. It's the 30-50-year olds with their friggin' SUVs we need to worry about. I fall within the “54-to-dead” grouping, and I watch Olberman every week night. I first encountered BillO once when visiting a son in the US and couldn't stop myseelf from doing a double take. What was this guy spewing and who was he to bully people like that? I wondered if he could be worse than Limbaugh. I believe now they both have sunk to the sedimentary level of journalism, where, on the assumption that no one can be so stupid, someone must be paying them well to make such fools of themselves in public. As I watch my country ever more quickly ooze down the sump of history to the deponie of once great countries and cultures, which were discarded there by untrammeled greed, aggression, government designed propaganda, and complacent citizens, watching the neo-con negative develop into a nightmarish Nazistic barren, I'm trying to stem the curses of frustration, conscious now that after all these years in the front lines fighting to realize the American dream, that it is over-unless voices like Keith Olbermann's can catch and keep the ears of good people everywhere.
