There was more than one time when staff members, including me, was inappropriate and cruel with laughter and jokes. Some how turning terrible situations into laughter made it easier and this was in a safe environment. I can feel nothing but compassion for all of the men and women who are undergoing physical danger and emotional trauma while serving their country.
