PIPA Coalition Urges Networks to Commit to Airing Debates
Holding the Networks to Their Public Interest Obligations
Citing recent cutbacks in news coverage of elections, members of the Public Interest, Public Airwaves Coalition called on the ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox networks to make an immediate commitment to air all presidential and vice presidential debates this fall. Within ten days of our letter three of the four largest broadcasters agree to broadcast all the debates live.
