Khaldoon H. Tabaza, 29, is President--Online Services, and co-founder of Arabia.On.Line (http://www.arabia.com). Starting as a writer on information technology when he was 18, Khaldoon has contributed to the Arab world's Information technology industry in general, and the Internet industry in particular as a member and leader in a number of communication entities. Before establishing the Arabic edition of BYTE Magazine along with a group of investors and enthusiastic editors in 1994, Khaldoon has contributed as a freelancer to a number of pan-Arab and international newspapers and IT publications such as Al-Hayat newspaper in London, and the mother edition of BYTE Magazine in the US. In 1995, Khaldoon started Arabia.On.Line as a project inside Arabian Communications and Publishing, the mother company for BYTE Middle East. Soon afterwards, Arabia.On.Line has grown to become a company on its own, and one of the fastest and most exciting ventures in the Internet and communication industry of the Arab world. A medical doctor by education, Khaldoon is a constant speaker at regional and international conferences and symposiums, and a frequently quoted figure in printed and audiovisual media. He is a member of a number of regional and international societies and institutes such as The WorldTimes Information Imperative Faculty.
