Jon Wiener teaches US history at UC Irvine, hosts a weekly radio program on politics and culture on KPFK-FM in Los Angeles, and is a contributing editor for The Nation magazine, where he writes about campus politics and historical convtroversies. Since 1983 he has been suing the FBI under the Freedom of Information Act for their files on John Lennon.
