Bio

Naomi Sakr is a specialist in Middle East affairs whose writing and editing focuses on the impact of transnational media and communication developments on governance and human rights. She is Research Director of CMF MENA (Centre for Media Freedom - Middle East and North Africa) and writes for ARTICLE 19 (the London-based International Centre Against Censorship) and Amnesty International, among others. She has an MA in Media Studies from the Insitute of Education, University of London, and gained her PhD at the Centre for Communication and Information Studies, University of Westminster.
