Bio

A journalist by profession, he has served for 13 years as Editor on the Times of Zambia newspapers. From 1994-98, worked as the Zambia-based correspondent for Associated Press (AP). With training primarily in journalism and public relations, he attended Zambia's Evelyn Hone College. Studied International Human Rights Law (advanced post-graduate diploma) in Sweden, at University of Lund/Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law; studied Financial and Business Journalism with the Institute of Journalism in Berlin. Nominated in 1992under the United States Government International Visitor prlgram to undertake a study tour of the American Press. Has served as Chair of the CPU's Zambia chapter and as a member of the governing Council of the Commonwealth Press Union. Has participated as speaker in the CPU Biannual Conference and Editors Forums. Joined the Southern African Research and Documentation Centre (SARDC) in 1998.
